Three bad things I learned this year:
-People you trust lie, even parents.
-That hot guy, the one who’s totally into you, he might not be the one.
-Things are not always how they appear.
Three good things I learned this year:
-Best friends are always there for you, even when they’re far away.
-That other hot guy, the one who remembers your birthday, he just might be the one.
-Oh, and things are not always how they appear.
Anna Sanders expected an anonymous (and uneventful) senior year until she crossed paths with rich-and-sexy Jack Kyser and his twin sister Lucy.
Pulling Anna into their extravagant lifestyle on the Gulf Coast, Lucy pushed Anna outside her comfort zone, and Jack showed her feelings she’d never experienced… Until he mysteriously withdrew.
Anna turned to her internship at the city paper and to her old attraction for Julian, a handsome local artist and rising star, for distraction. But both led to her discovery of a decades-old secret closely guarded by the twins’ distant, single father.
A secret that could permanently change all their lives. -(from Goodreads)

Today, Leigh T. Moore stops by the blog to give
Ten of her Favorite Contemporary Reads and Why!
This is in keeping with the theme of my blog’s Contemporary Month!
Thanks for being such a great sport, Leigh!
Hi, Asheley! Thanks so much for having me here today and for helping me promote Dragonfly!
I love contemporary romance. Love it. But I just love books! I started a book club in my old hometown with some ladies who love reading as much as me. So I could chat about books all day—my “Top 10” could easily stretch to 100!
It’s HARD for me to rank books. What I like depends on my mood! So this is not a ranking. It’s an off the top of my head list of books I could read over and over. Is that okay?
Here goes:
10-Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver – This one’s a modern (adult) classic, and it’s so lush and gorgeous and sexy and hot. It’s great for lazy spring days. Sometimes I just pick it up and read random chapters.
8-Someone Like You by Sarah Dessen – Dessen could be on this list ten times because I love all her books. But in particular, I love the shock of how this one opens, and I love Macon. Every time I see a grape Jolly Rancher, I think of him.
7-If I Stay by Gayle Forman – I did not expect to be sucked into this book the way I was. Or touched. Or… omg. It’s incredible.
4-Easy by Tammara Webber – Because it started the whole New Adult craze (which gave Undertow a place on bookshelves). Also because it’s about more than a hot romance. I love me some hot romance, but I also need a good story.
Ahh—so many great books. I hope you all like and add mine as well!
Thanks again for having me here!

THANKS again for having me, Asheley! You know, I have like 50 more books I could add to this list right now… LOL! Happy reading–looking forward to your review tomorrow~ :o) <3
Thanks for being here! I could NEVER make a list, so you're awesome for being able to do it! 🙂
This sounds wonderful! I can't wait to read this one and I can't wait to see your review!
This is a fun one, Ash!
I've been on a contemporary romance kick recently, and this one sounds like fun! Bonus: the author featured several books I already love, which is a good sign. 🙂 Thanks for the heads up on this, Asheley, I hadn't heard of it before!
Wendy @ The Midnight Garden
Hi Wendy! This book is a ton of fun. Summer-y, light, and fun with a dash of a mystery in there. I loved the romance aspect too. And the setting is wonderful – the Gulf coast in the deep South! If you decide to read it, I hope you like it. 🙂
My favorite summer vacation is camping with the whole family. Teaching the kids to fish (as long as the hubby puts the worm on LOL) swimming in the lake. Great times!!
