Huge News from Fisher Amelie! GREED Cover Reveal & VAIN Gets a New Cover!

First of all! One of my FAVORITE books,
VAIN by FISHER AMELIE
gets a brand new cover!

Isn’t it BEAUTIFUL GORGEOUS AMAZING LOVELY??

VAIN by Fisher Amelie
Series: The Seven Deadly #1
Publish Date: February 7, 2012
392 Pages
Find It: Goodreads / Amazon / B&N

If you’re looking for a story about a good, humble girl, who’s been hurt by someone she thought she could trust, only to find out she’s not as vulnerable as she thought she was and discovers an empowering side of herself that falls in love with the guy who helps her find that self, blah, blah, blah…then you’re gonna’ hate my story.

Because mine is not the story you read every time you bend back the cover of the latest trend novel. It’s not the “I can do anything, now that I’ve found you/I’m misunderstood but one day you’ll find me irresistible because of it” tale. Why? Because, if I was being honest with you, I’m a complete witch. There’s nothing redeeming about me. I’m a friend using, drug abusing, sex addict from Los Angeles. I’m every girlfriend’s worst nightmare and every boy’s fantasy.

I’m Sophie Price…And this is the story about how I went from the world’s most envied girl to the girl no one wanted around and why I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.

I’ve read VAIN twice now and recommended it to dozens of people – both online and in real-life. It’s absolutely, without a doubt one of my favorite books in the New Adult category. There is SO MUCH packed into this one to love that I can’t NOT recommend it to people. For those of you that want to try New Adult but don’t want that angsty, broken, angry male – you will LOVE the male love interest in this book – Ian Aberdeen. SA-WOON!!! And Sophie Price, the main character? Let’s just say she is the absolute definition of character development. This book wow’d me and I just NEED other people to read it.

Fisher, this new cover is fantastic and I’m honored to be showing it off today on my blog! I think I need to re-read this one just because the book looks so pretty!

(You can read my full Three-Things Review HERE to see why I loved it so much plus you can read more about main character Sophie Price’s music style HERE since it plays a huge role in the book! )

 — GREED —

Isn’t it **ALSO** BEAUTIFUL GORGEOUS AMAZING LOVELY??

GREED by Fisher Amelie
Series: The Seven Deadly #2
Find It: Goodreads

Gather ‘round, love, because I want you. I want what you have, I want what you don’t have, I want more of what I alreadyhave. I want. But if you so much as ask for something in return, go ahead and walk away. Know if you want to play in my world, it’s every man for themselves and the weak become mine. Leeches will be obliterated because I make it my job to destroy them. I protect what’s mine and I take what’s yours…because that’s what I do. I want.

My story will not endear me to you and, frankly, I could care less if it does because I’m in this for the money and nothing else. There’s nothing redeeming about me. I’m a corrupt, money hungry, immoral asshole from Los Angeles. I’m every man’s worst nightmare and every girl’s fantasy.

I’m Spencer Blackwell…And this is the story about how I went from the world’s most coveted guy to the guy no one wanted around and why I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.

I have read and re-read and re-read this summary again. Honestly, y’all, I thought VAIN was fine and good and was happy enough just to have it – BUT TO HAVE A BOOK FOR EACH OF THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS??? Fisher Amelie, you spoil me! Spencer Blackwell is one of the memorable secondary characters from VAIN, so finding out that he’s getting his own book is UH-MAZING.

You guys, this is some of the best bookish news EVER.
I may have acted like a small child on Christmas morning
when this cover came to me in the email so I could reveal it to you all.
I CANNOT WAIT TO DIVE DEEPER INTO THIS SERIES.

Fisher Amelie is the author of The Leaving Series, Callum & Harper and Thomas & January. She began her writing career as a copywriter for an internet marketing company wherein one of their client’s said, ‘Hey! You’re funny. You should write books’. Which in turn she said, ‘Hey, get out of here! This is the lady’s restroom.’ While washing her hands and the embarrassment from her face, she thought they may have had a valid point. So, she took the thousands of hours of writing stories growing up, tucked them into her pocket and began writing and writing and writing.

  1. I love the sound of these books-I'm pretty fascinated by the seven deadly sins and to see them played with in this way. You're also doing a great job selling me on its inclusion in the NA category-I do not like the angry bad boy but I really want to know about Ian now!

    • I really think you'd like Vain because it isn't AT ALL like the stereotypical New Adult with the angsty alpha male that is really popular. This is a New Adult with a main character that shows some fantastic, true character development that you can actually get behind and a male character that respects women and has morals and is just GOOD. Plus there are some social issues that aren't preachy but are interspersed throughout the story and make you just love it even more. I have told everyone that will listen about VAIN and I anticipate loving GREED and the others too. And I agree that a series about the Seven Deadly Sins is kind of fascinating – I'm anxious to see how Fisher Amelie handles them and if the rest will be as wonderful as VAIN is. I'd love for you to give it a shot and see if you like it!

  2. I SCREAMED when I saw the cover and description of Greed. I WANT IT. What I love is that there was so much meet to Vain. It was not just your typical romance. It seriously made me think a LOT about the world, and I picked a Compassion kid from Uganda because of it. I'm really eager to get more of Spencer. He was my third favorite character in Vain (after Sophie and Ian!).

    • I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW!!! I clapped my hands and squealed like it was Christmas morning! It was ALL I could do to sit on this email until time for this post to go live!

The story was good but the inclusion of the LRA and Uganda just made it so much more REAL and better and I wonder if there will be anything like that in the rest of these books? It completely raised awareness for me and I've been following the Kony story and what's going on over there despite not knowing much about it before VAIN – she really gave a whole new set of people some knowledge of this real life THING, and I just loved that so much about this story, plus the addition of Sophie and Ian thrown into it made it seem more real as well.

And these covers are amazing. I'm so happy for her. And excited that we get to read SEVEN of these!

    • VAIN IS AMAZING. Sophie Price is a bad girl…for a little while. Great character development, fantastic. And Ian Aberdeen – SA-WOON. This is one of those stories that the tension is so very there without hardly even more than glances and touches. And there are real-life social issues but not in a preachy way.

And heaven help me, that cover for GREED! The MC of this one is a character that I enjoyed a lot in VAIN – he didn't show up all the way through the book, but he was there several times and I remember him well. So I'm thrilled to read more about him, especially if he looks like THAT. Heavens! I wonder if he'll have a social issue attached to his story – I just cannot wait until I can read it. I will literally brush aside everything else when I can get my hands on this one, no kidding. So. Very. Excited.

  3. I've heard of Fisher Amelie before but I haven't read any of her books and this post convinced me to buy the e-book on Amazon just now lol. I'm kind of a sucker for NA books even though 90% of the time they frustrate me because they're usually all the same. You know – too much angst, angry alpha male with a past, girl also with a past but character doesn't develop at all. But I always want to give them a chance because I like the idea of New Adult. I'm really excited to read this one!

    • Hey Rachel! I think you'll find that VAIN is a bit different within this category where there is a lot of angst – Sophie Price is a different kind of character and shows some real, true remarkable growth. You WILL NOT like her in the beginning but your heart will probably open toward her as the book progresses – and Ian Aberdeen, wow. I'll let him be a sweet surprise. Good gracious.

How about that cover for GREED!? I can't wait to get my hands on that one, especially since VAIN is one of my favorites! With these two looking so nice, I can't wait to see what the completed set will look like when they're all published (if they continue with this theme). Probably really nice together! (:
