Top Ten CAPSLOCK & OMG!!! Books
(there really are more than this, you know)

YEP, the entire Black Dagger Brotherhood series. SO WHAT!?
I know the entire series isn’t pictured here,
but you get the idea. EVERYTHING,
E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G
in these books is just good, clean fun folks.
The kind that makes me blush, and I am all for this.
(And lots of y’all are too, if you’re being honest.)

Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
Incarnate by Jodi Meadows

Because I am IN LOVE with Akiva and Sam.
OH THE OOZING TENSION.
(I think I did actually CAPSLOCK and OMG!!!
Jen @makeshiftjen about Sam quite a few times.)

Fever by Lauren DeStefano
Pure by Julianna Baggott

Both of these are so amazing and yet so hauntingly horrifying,
you HAVE to talk to somebody about them NOW. NOW!

Monsters of Men by Patrick Ness
The Iron Queen by Julie Kagawa

OH THE EMOTIONS!
It was PAIN and LOVE, you guys.
Pain and Love. And tears. So many tears.

The Book of Lost Things by John Connolly
American Gods by Neil Gaiman

For being probably the two best books I’ve ever read.
That deserves some CAPSLOCK love, right?

  1. OK, I've seen you rave over the Black Dagger Brotherhood series a buncha times…meaning, I will most definitely be reading the first book in the series poolside this summer! 🙂

Oh, and OMG YESSS! to Monsters of Men! I pretty much force that series onto all of my friends and when they get to the last book they get upset about how upset they are 🙂

  2. I love teh cover of The BOok of Lost Thinga! Jeez I'm sorry my spelling is so off and stuff but I'm on my phone and way too much effort to backstpace AHH I sound l;ike an idiot.

ANYWAY. Fab list Asheley! OMG and FEVER BROKE MEEEE. What a ride. 🙂

    • Okay, this is my favorite comment of yours ever. Never fix your typos! They're hilarious.

The Book of Lost Things is absolutely amazing. So incredible. And Wither was good but Fever broke me too. I'm scared to pieces of Sever, but I can't wait for it. I'm sure I'll be rereading Wither and Fever right before I read Sever, which will probably damage me – Lauren DeStefano is THAT GOOD.

  3. My caps lock is NEVERMORE BY KELLY CREAGH. Omg, talk about tension and beautiful writing and EDGAR ALLAN POE. Omg. I can't even handle.

Also? I NEED TO HURRY UP AND READ MONSTERS OF MEN! AHHHH!

AND I LOVE BOOK OF LOST THINGS, even though I was really sad reading it.

    • Gah I have Nevermore on my shelf and have for AGES. I need to read that book so bad. I've been meaning to forever but I just never do. I need to do a no-review month and sink my teeth into it slowly.

You already KNOW how I feel about the Ness books, so I won't EVEN go there.

The Book of Lost Things is really honestly just one of the best books ever in the entire world. True story. Also that cover in my picture is stellar.

  4. Grrrr – I hate that you're forcing me to add more books to my "to be read" list 🙂 Seriously – Daughter of Smoke & Bone is amazing – and I've been meaning to read the Black Dagger series, and now I just have to get to it sooner rather than later!

  5. Why oh why haven't I read so many of these books? Most of them are on my TBR, but I'm a sorry excuse for a reader sometimes and I still haven't read many of them including DoSaB and Incarnate. Yes, I'm super lame, but I'm hoping to have a similar reaction to when I do finally read them 😀
