  1. I've had A Reliable Wife sitting on my shelf for over a year and cannot get myself to read it… no matter how many good things I hear about it. I will get to it! I will!
Also, have been eying The Road and When She Woke. One of these days I'll get to those too!

  2. Ooooo I didn't know Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter was a book! I just saw the preview for the Tim Burton movie version and it of course looks creepy and strange and perfectly perfect for Tim Burton:) Now I'll have to pick up the book!!!! Yay, love it when that happens:)

  3. The Night Circus is on my wish list! I've heard only good things about it. I've also got When She Woke on my Nook — just haven't gotten to reading it yet. Great, thoughtful list.

    My TTT

  4. It appears that I really must read A Reliable Wife – it looks like my kind of book 🙂 Also, I still need to read The Night Circus!!

As for the others, I completely agree with your list. Anyone would certainly love these fantastic books!

  5. I feel like I won a prize because I've read half of these! YAY BEING WELL READ! 🙂

But also, for YA readers I'd say check out: The Mists Of Avalon, The Power Of One, Lamb by Christopher Moore, and A Prayer For Owen Meany by John Irving.

  6. Thanks for these recommendations, Asheley! I haven't read a lot of these as I don't tend to read much adult fiction, but I'd like to branch out a bit more. I'm always up for a well-written dystopian so When She Woke looks promising, and A Reliable Wife sounds like a psychologically creepy read, which just might be up my alley too. I've heard awesome things about The Name of the Wind so I want to get to that one at some point as well.

  7. Wow, I LOVE this list because they are so many books on here that I have on my TBR, which means I can go jump on them ASAP! When She Woke has always intrigued me and I can't wait to read it. The Name of the Wind has been on my bookshelf since it came out (that one is happening this year, I swear!). And I've been SUPER intrigued also by Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter! That sounds SO interesting! Historical paranormal shenanigans?! YES PLEASE!

Ooh, The Night Circus!!! *drools a little bit* Okay, we all know that I can't get enough of that book. BUT. In the interest of fair play, I will check out the others on your list. I have a copy of Soulless sitting on my shelf, so maybe that'll be the one I read next!

  9. I didn't do TTT this week, but I love your list. I have Night Circus on audio – have yet to listen to it, hope to soon! And I downloaded Soulless last week, so it's pretty awesome to see them here.

  10. This is an excellent list, and some excellent picks to go with it! I totally agree with all of those that I have read, so I will have to take your word on the ones I haven't. The Night Circus, When She Woke, and Wise Man's Fear (Kingkiller Chronicles #2) were all top reads of 2011. I'm much more selective about my adult lit than my YA, but when I do go adult, it's usually something amazing. I especially want to check out The Book of Lost Things!

  11. After all the buzz the Night Circus got I immediately put it on my TBR, but I still haven't gotten around to it. Seeing it on your list makes me want to read it soon, though.

  12. I agree on Soulless! And I still have to finish The Night Circus…I only started it 6 months ago, lol.

I'm checking into MANY of these. Particularly Girl in Translation and A Reliable Life. 🙂

Oh and When She Spoke is already on the TBR 🙂

  13. Ashley, I have not read one of these books! which do you think I would like best? I have to look further into this list…Hard to believe none of them are in my read pile. I'm always finding something new when I come your way:)
