Up All Night, Read All Day

Okay, well I’m doing it too! I’m joining about 400-ish others in Dewey’s 24-hour Read-a-thon and I’m kinda excited about it. I have a ton of books that I want to read and I’ve found that a Read-a-thon is the best way to catch up on my reading piles. In the past, I’ve tried making lists of what I want to read in hopes that I’ll stick to my list. I’ve even taken pictures of my actual pile of books…this time, you’ll just have to trust me in saying that I have a ton and I plan to read as much as I can. Here’s why:

I always feel sort of dumb when I stray from what I tell the world I plan on reading, so I think I’ll just go with the flow and see how the day unfolds.

Besides reading, I do plan on cheerleading. I am not a ‘real’ cheerleader…meaning, I’m not signed up to be a cheerleader for a specified time. I didn’t think this a good idea since I have a bunch of children and a husband, and they do require my attention at unscheduled times throughout every day. So, as per my Read-a-thon norm, I plan to visit as many blogs as I can and cheer people on all throughout the day at random times. I like it when people do this for me and so I like to pay it forward because I generally like to think of myself as an okay kind of gal.

Alright, well that’s my announcement. See everyone bright and early!

  1. I think you have a great plan for Readathon! I was unofficially cheerleading for a few readathons before I became an official one, but I signed up to cheer during the super late hours of the event, but I'll be cheering throughout the day too (also hosting a challenge at hour 9). See you on Twitter tomorrow!
